Exactly 1 year back, Life was changed for us , with the arrival of our son. There was nothing but happiness for his Mom and Myself. But there was a problem with the baby's kidney called Hydronephrosis during her pregnancy, Doctors have detected a PUJ obstruction for him. It is the obstruction of the free flow of urine from the kidney.After knowing this, We have spent many sleepless nights with the trauma of our son's health condition.
There were doctors who advised us that it can be treated but they were not sure about the results. With all the prayers and many hopes we approached Dr VVS Chandrasekharam at Rainbow Hospitals, Hyderabad. He is a kind person who gave us confidence that it can be treated very well. After examining the reports, the functioning of the kidneys were in the ratio of 80:20(normal ratio-50:50).He advised us to go for a surgical correction.
Laparoscopic Pyeloplasty was done on our infant baby on his 52day by Dr.Chandrasekharam. We were surprised to know that he is the only doctor in the world who has done over 220 Laparoscopy surgeries on infant babies till date and the techniques that he implements for the surgery are unique. We were happy to see that there was not a single scar on my baby boy's skin post surgery. After such major kidney surgery, my baby had no pain & was discharged in just 2 days!!
On Dr.Chandrasekharam's advice after 10months of surgery, we have repeated the tests that were done on him prior to surgery. We are thrilled to see the improvement in  results.It was unbelievable that our son's Kidney obstruction is gone & the kidney function is restored to normal ratio in their functioning, that is 50:50.
